The Neko series of bikes from Trek allows the rider to explore more than just paved paths and streets, and find a bike with a great fit as well. The Neko S features a lightweight Alpha Gold aluminum frame that fits a wider range of riders with a more upright handlebar position. Eyelets for a rear rack, fenders and bottle cages give the Neko S greater versatility for light touring and commuting. There’s even an aperture in the left chainstay for a DuoTrap S speed and cadence sensor (sold separately) to help keep track of your rides on your smartphone. Shimano 8-speed shifters operate front and rear derailleurs for smooth gear changes and long component life. An FSA triple crankset and 11-32T rear cassette provide a huge gearing range for steep climbs and hauling cargo. A Bontrager SSR WSD saddle and Low Riser handlebar make for a comfortable perch to see the road ahead, while 32-spoke alloy wheels are shod with 38mm-wide LT2 knobby tires for confident grip. An SR Suntour NEX suspension fork soaks up bumpy trails, and even has a lockout function for pavement riding as well. The Neko S is ready for just about any adventure. Are you?
