A lightweight hardtail mountain bike benefits a rider simply due to physics: Lighter is faster everywhere from climbs to accelerating to changing direction. But what if the hardtail just doesn't keep you as comfortable as you need to be? Is a heavier full-suspension mountain bike your only solution? The Procaliber 6 might be the answer.

This bike's frame is built with their ultralight Alpha Platinum, ensuring a light and nimble platform when attacking a hilly and technical XC course. The Procaliber's IsoSpeed decoupler allows the bike's frame to flex vertically, soaking up fatiguing impacts and vibration while the bike's torsional strength remains high. The Procaliber 6 is still a nimble, efficient machine, thanks to race-proven geometry and a rigid press-fit PF92 bottom bracket. A tapered head tube adds an extra dash of precision to the ProCaliber's handling, especially in twisty singletrack. Internal cable routing keeps the bike looking clean and sleek. Up front, an air-adjustable RockShox Judy Gold suspension fork soaks up impacts to help you keep the ProCaliber 6 where you point it. There's even a remote lockout lever mounted on the handlebar, making smooth gravel climbs more like road rides!

Trek took the idea of lightness and ran with it on the Procaliber 6 by adding a single-ring SRAM Eagle drivetrain. One lever and one derailleur is all you need for high-speed rides and races! A 12-speed SRAM SX Eagle shifter and NX Eagle Roller Bearing Clutch derailleur handles gear change duties with lightning-quickness. SRAM's SX Eagle DUB alloy crankset features a 30T Direct Mount chainring, while an 11-50T SRAM Eagle cassette boasts a huge gearing range for roller-coaster courses and trails. Bontrager supplies the tubeless-ready alloy Kovee wheelset, complete with Boost110/148 hub spacing for improved wheel rigidity. Tubeless-ready Team Issue XR2 Team Issue tires measure 29x2.20" (smaller frame sizes get 27.5" wheels and tires), adding an excellent balance between high grip and low rotating weight. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes help reign in speed in all conditions, rain or shine (or mud).

The Procaliber 6's cockpit needed to be light and minimal, and the addition of an alloy Bontrager seatpost and Bontrager Arvada saddle keeps pendular weight low, helping the bike to feel nimble and eager during out-of-the-saddle efforts. An accessory-ready alloy Bontrager Elite Blendr stem and alloy Bontrager Comp handlebar also helps keep the overall weight down.
