Cyclocross seems to be everywhere! From World Cup races in the Midwest to Madison's Parks, you can get into the scene with the Crockett 4 Disc!

Could the Crockett 4 Disc be the best 'crosser for the money? The Trek Crockett series always starts with a 300 Series Alpha aluminum frame and carbon fiber fork, delivering an impressive strength-to-weight ratio. Hydroformed aluminum tubes add lateral stiffness, while a carbon fiber Trek Cross fork keeps weight down. A flattened top tube is more comfortable for shouldering the bike on run-ups, or just carrying the bike upstairs at the end of the day. A tapered head tube adds extra handling precision in the twisties. Control Freak internal cable routing keeps the Crockett 4 looking clean and sleek, while an adjustable 3S chain keeper prevents race-ending jammed chains. Anchoring the crankset is a threaded T47 bottom bracket that ensures flex-free power delivery with every pedal stroke. 12mm thru-axle dropouts add torsional strength to the Crockett 4's "chassis", delivering an extra dash of razor-sharpness to the handling.

Shifting duty is covered by SRAM's single-ring 11-speed Apex 1 rear derailleur and dual-control levers. The levers feature an adjustable reach; useful when wearing heavy gloves on cold race mornings. The Apex 1 rear derailleur is equipped with a Roller Bearing Clutch that helps reduce chain drop; perfect for root-strewn 'cross courses! A Praxis Alba M30 single-ring alloy crankset is equipped with a 40T chainring for power delivery duties. SRAM's 11-42T cassette offers a wide gearing range for challenging terrain. Bontrager supplies the tubeless-ready alloy Affinity Disc wheels and knobby CX3 Team Issue tires, boasting easy acceleration and tenacious grip in muddy conditions. Slowing down in those condtions requires disc brakes, and the Crockett 4 has them on tap: Tektro C550 cable-operated disc brakes bring confident stopping power to every corner and hairpin.

A Bontrager Montrose Comp saddle sits atop an alloy Bontrager seatpost for a smooth ride on bumpy courses. The seatpost sports a robust 2-bolt seat clamp that can put up with clumsy mid-race re-mounts. An accessory-ready alloy Bontrager Elite Blendr stem and alloy Bontrager VR-C road handlebar completes the cockpit of this excellent race-ready machine.
