The field of performance road bicycles for women is getting more crowded. The Avail Advanced 3 still rises to the top!

The Avail Advanced series of road bicycles make a stong case for riders looking to make the step up to lighter, better performing machines. The first thing that it does well is fit better. The better the fit, the faster and more comfortable a rider can be. For example, the Avail Advanced 3 features a taller head tube in a given size compared to the Defy Advanced in the same size, granting a more upright fit. Giant's own Advanced-Grade carbon fiber is used throughout the Avail Advanced 3, providing light weight and a smooth feel over rough and choppy pavement. Handing isn't compromised for fit, thanks to a tapered OverDrive head tube/steerer tube that adds an extra dash of sharpness to the bike's handling. 12mm thru-axles reduce lateral flex in high-speed turns and descents, as well as simplify wheel installation.

Shimano's 10-speed Tiagra components were chosen for the Avail Advanced 3, thanks to the group's excellent performance during long days in the saddle. The dual-control Tiagra levers feature an adjustable reach for smaller hands and shorter fingers. The long-cage Tiagra rear derailleur allows the use of an 11-34T Tiagra cassette, adding a wide gearing range for hilly and challenging terrain. Installed in the press-fit PowerCore bottom bracket, a 50/34T Tiagra compact crankset bringing flex-free power delivery to every pedal stroke. Tubeless alloy PR-2 Disc wheels are wrapped with 700x25c tubeless Gavia AC-1 tires, producing a smooth ride while preventing flat tires along the way. Giant's own Conduct hydraulic disc brakes boast confident stopping power in all conditions, wet or dry.

A Liv Contact women's saddle sits atop a clever D-Fuse Composite seatpost that soaks up impacts from potholes, railway crossings and pavement transitions better than a garden-variety cylindrical post. An alloy Connect road handlebar and stem completes this value-laden century challenger.
