Disc brakes have been appearing across the spectrum of bicycles, and now they've found a home with Liv's newest road line: Langma!

The Langma Advanced 2 Disc starts with a fantastic fit for a wide range of rider sizes. From shorter riders who need a short standover height to fairly tall riders needing a well-proportioned geometry, the Langma Advanced 2 Disc delivers. How short, you ask? A standover height of only 26.7" will still fit on the Extra-Small size! A shorter top tube and more upright posture compared to the same size in the Giant TCR series road bikes allow more riders -and more rider flexibilities- to get comfortable on a lightweight machine. Even the ride quality was given a makeover, taking into consideration the weight and power of an average female rider compared to "Joe average".

The overall design of the Langma Advanced Disc frameset took inspiration from "Grand Tour" racing geometry while still providing the aformentioned upright rider posture. The Langma's handling is quick and sure-footed without being nervous, making it a great choice for centuries as well as criteriums. The Advanced-Grade Composite carbon fiber is layered differently to keep total weight low while still offering enough torsional strength for uphill, out-of-the-saddle sprinting. A press-fit PowerCore bottom bracket and asymmetric chainstays anchor the crankset further, improving pedaling response without adding weight. Aerodynamic shaping on the Langma's seat tube, down tube, fork blades and Variant Composite seatpost reduces drag over wide areas of the frameset. Even the seat post binder is tucked under a rubber aero cover. Cool, huh? Internal cable routing also helps keep the Langma Advanced looking clean and sleek. 12mm thru-axle dropouts not only help align the brake rotors perfectly into the calipers when changing out wheels, but also increase the frame's torsional strength for improved handling and power transfer. The brake calipers themselves are installed onto flat-mount hardpoints that keep them anchored with less material. This all adds up to a pretty outstanding "backbone" to build a bike around, and many would say it does a better job than the TCR built for hardcore road racers, especially when climbing.

The Langma Advanced 2 Disc arrives with Shimano's recently redesigned 11-speed 105 components found throughout the bike's drivetrain. The adjustable-reach dual-control levers, Shadow-style long-cage rear derailleur, toggle-pivot front derailleur, 50/34T compact crankset and 11-32T cassette are all Shimano's latest 7000-series 105 components that are designed to work in concert for lightning-quick operation and long service life. Useful details abound like reduced shifting effort, reshaped lever hoods, larger gearing capacity and a stiffer crankset all make the Langma Advanced 2 Disc function like no other women's road bike ever has. Giant's own Conduct SL hydraulic disc brakes are not just for better stopping power in the wet. They improve rider confidence under braking with every pull of the lever. The Langma Advanced 2's tubeless-ready alloy Giant P-R2 Disc wheelset is shod with 700x25c tubeless Gavia AC 1 tires, helping to reduce rolling resistance, aero drag and punctures in equal measure. A Composite carbon fiber Variant seat post, Liv Contact saddle, alloy Connect stem and alloy Contact road handlebar complete this climber's dream machine.
