Triathlon bicycles have become lighter, faster, more comfortable and just work better than they used to. But can they be more affordable? This one is.

Giant Bicycles have been at the forefront of aero bike technology, and even used a mannequin (!) in the wind tunnel to refine how the bike's drag numbers change as the bike was hit with varying wind angles. The result is a frame design called AeroSystem Shaping technology. Since riders have to contend with cross-headwinds, cross-tailwinds and everything in between, Giant wanted to increase the "real-world" usefulness of their aero/TT bikes. The result gives riders increased stability and lower overall drag in a greater range of conditions. Building the Trinity Advanced with Giant's own Advanced-grade carbon fiber allowed the designers to remove weight off the bike, and engineer in a smoother ride for reduced rider fatigue over long-course events. A PowerCore press-fit bottom bracket anchors the Shimano crankset for flex-free power delivery. Internal cable routing adds to the sleek look of the Trinity Advanced as well. A tapered Advanced-grade carbon fiber aero seatpost has a wide range of adjustment, and is topped with an ISM PS1.0 tri-specific saddle. Even the brake calipers are tucked in behind the fork crown and under the bottom bracket, hiding them from the wind.

Giant's component choices for the Trinity Advanced are no-nonsense 11-speed Shimano 105 derailleurs, 11-speed bar-end shifters, an 11-28T Shimano 105 cassette, and a Shimano RS510 50/34T compact crankset. A wide gearing range at the cassette, a compact crankset and fingertip operation give the Trinity Advanced all the refinement you need to take on challenging courses like, say, IronMan Wisconsin. Giant's own tubeless-ready alloy SR-2 wheels and tubeless-ready 700x25c Gavia tires boast a deep-section aero rim to slice the wind, and a smooth feel for rough and choppy pavment. A multi-adjustable Giant Contact base bar and aero bar allows the rider to refine their position on the bike for short sprint events or long multi-hour challenges.
