When the triathlon you've marked on your calendar months ago is finally here, you want a bike that won't hold you back.

Felt's IA10 triathlon bicycle is just that; a triathlon bicycle. Not a UCI-limited, micro-managed, 3-to-1-tube-profiled time trial machine gunning for rainbow stripes or yellow jerseys. The stick-in-the-mud, no-fun rulebook was thrown out for this one, boys and girls. Felt has listened to what you really want. Namely a super-sleek wind-cheater that makes every foot of the bike segment fly by. The shape of the Felt IA10 is governed by how well a bicycle can slice through the wind, not a limiting set of rules. The use of Computational Fluid Dynamics -or CFD- allows the engineers at Felt to make the best frame shape for a wider range of wind angles, not just a head-on approach only seen in wind tunnels. Sure, wind tunnels are useful, and Felt uses them to confirm the drage numbers of prototype frames and bicycles. But dozens of Felt's frame shapes start in software, and they're all scrutinized for the perfect shape. Testing a bike in a wind tunnel is a good thing, but developing a bike in the wind tunnel is even better. When the fully rideable prototypes are sent to Felt's pro riders, then the real-world durability tests occur. Crosswind susceptibility, low-speed handling, overall ride quality and wet weather tests are just a few of the items that Felt's pro riders and athetes look at before the bike gets released to the consumer.

The Felt IA10 represents that refined, out-of-the-box thinking that they're famous for. The IA10's ultra-aero frame shaping works better than UCI-limited designs, and is built with Felt's own UHC Performance carbon fiber for very light weight and incredible strength. A BB30 bottom bracket allows for flex-free power delivery, even during uphill, out-of-the-saddle efforts. Adjustable horizontal dropouts allow for perfect tire spacing against the conformal aero seat tube. Internal cable routing keeps the IA10 sleek and drag-free, while multi-position bottle mounts allow for better positioning for lower overall drag and center of gravity. There's even an accessory-mount for the aero storage box at the back of the seat tube. Deep fork blades are the first element of the frameset to greet the wind, and the IA10's blend well with the down tube for improved transitioning of airflow. Up front, the Bayonet 3 base bar and 3-way adjustable aero bars have a wide range of adjustability, allowing the rider to dial in the perfect balance between comfort and aerodynamics.

Shimano's electronic Di2 components are found on the IA10, allowing the rider to shift from the aero bars and the base bars. Accelerating out of every corner no longer requires standing up and sitting down (over and over...) as the rider upshifts multiple times. The rider can remain standing while snapping through the gears with no delays, and keeping up momentum at the exit of every corner. With Shimano's newest 11-speed Ultegra Di2 derailleurs, Ultegra 8060-series Di2 base bar brake/shift levers and Dura-Ace aero bar shifters, every shift is perfect. Every. Single. Time. Shimano's operation is so precise and so fast, it even extends the lifespan of the chain. A Vision TriMax 52/36T crankset and 11-28T Shimano cassette bring wide gearing range to the party, making every ascent and descent that much easier and faster. Shimano's direct-mount brake caliper is installed under the bottom bracket to hide from the wind, while a Vision Trimax Aero caliper does stopping duties up front. Tubeless-ready alloy Devox 35A wheels are laced with bladed aero spokes and are shod with 700x23c Felt tires, adding yet another aero advantage to the IA10. An ISM PS1.0 saddle sits atop a deep-section carbon fiber seat "post" to complete this low-drag race-winning machine.

A Shimano charging cable is included with the purchase of this bicycle.

The bike fit staff at Machinery Row Bicycles can assist with the fitting of this bicycle for optimum comfort and power. Please call for details.
