What an amazing time to be a cyclist! The bicycle industry has been listening to customers and dealers alike and decided that recreational riders should get the best technology out there. Many of those riders are women, and Liv Bicycles have been hard at work building high-tech machines that make riders smile with every turn of the pedals.

The frame and fork of the Avail Advanced Pro 1 aren't built for "Joe average". Rather, the Advanced-grade Composite carbon fiber construction will soak up rough and choppy pavement much more comfortably, and with less overall weight. A tapered OverDrive2 head tube/steerer tube interface improves handling precision, especially in high-speed turns and descents. The Avail Advanced Pro's SRAM Force crankset is mounted in a press-fit PowerCore bottom bracket, ensuring flex-free power delivery with every pedal stroke. The fit and geometry of the Avail is comfortably upright and stable, allowing a wider range of riders -and rider flexibilities- to get comfortable for long journeys. Need a short standover height? The Extra-Small Avail Advanced Pro boasts a 26.9" standover!

The drivetrain of the Avail Advanced Pro 1 is SRAM's latest technology: 12-speed wireless shifting. Called eTap AXS, the dual-control levers and derailleurs communicate wirelessly, boasting lightning-quick (literally!) shifting. The SRAM Force eTap AXS derailleurs are powered by removeable and rechargeable batteries that attach to the back of each unit. With about 25+ hours of ride time between needing charging, you might forget they need it! Coin cell batteries are used in the levers, sending a coded signal whenever a shift lever is pressed. The right lever goes up a gear, while the left lever goes down. Shifting the front derailleur is simple: Press both at once. The 46/33T SRAM Force AXS carbon fiber crankset and massive 10-33T SRAM Force AXS cassette add a massive gearing range for tackling challenging terrain. The 46x10T top gear is a slightly higher gear than a classic 50x11T, while a 33x33T low gear needs no introduction for those interested in ascending with less effort. The rear derailleur also helps keep the chain in tension when charging over rough and choppy pavement with a speed-sensitive damper called Orbit that needs no service. The 12-speed chain itself is a new creation from SRAM called Flattop. A hardened finish and asymmetric design improves durability over classic chain designs.

A SRAM eTap battery charger is included in the purchase of this bicycle

With all that going for it, you'd think Liv would just slap a set of alloy wheels on the Avail Advanced Pro 1 and call it good.

But they didn't.

Giant's own tubeless carbon fiber SLR 1 Disc 30 wheels come stock on the Avail Advanced Pro, keeping rotating weight very low for instant acceleration. 700x32c Gavia Fondo 1 tubeless tires bring a smooth feel and confident grip to every mile, while tubeless sealant deals with sharp road debris that would ruin anyone's ride. SRAM Force AXS hydraulic disc brakes help to reign in speed with excellent lever feedback in all conditions, rain or shine.

A clever seatpost design helps take the edge off rough roads and railway crossings. Called D-Fuse SL, the D-shaped Composite carbon fiber seatpost flexes backwards for extra comfort on rides long and short. A Liv Contact SL saddle provides a comfortable perch, while an equally clever Contact SLR D-Fuse road handlebar soaks up vibration as well. An alloy SLR Flux stem completes this sleek century challenger.
