Our customers frequently ask for a mountain bike that hits the "sweet spot" of performance and value.

The Fuel EX 7 checks all the right boxes when it comes to performance-for-dollar. The bike is built around a lightweight Alpha Platinum aluminum frame that keeps overall weight low while providing a rigid "chassis". A press-fit PF92 bottom bracket, tapered head tube, and Straight Shot down tube all enhance the Fuel EX 7's pedaling response and overall handling. The rear Active Braking Pivot -or ABP- suspension geometry helps ensure the rear suspension will function smoothly, even under hard braking and intense pedaling. The rear shock's upper EVO Link resists lateral binding, ensuring smooth shock operation in rough terrain. The Fuel EX 7's Full Floater rear shock mount allows the shock to respond better to washboard surfaces. Reversable Mino Link upper pivots allow the Fuel EX 7's geometry to be switched from slack and stable to upright and nimble (and back) wth a single tool. 130mm of suspension travel helps absorb small hits to hard landings with equal ease. The rear shock itself is no pushover, either: An air-adjustable Fox Performance Float EVOL unit with a 3-position damper. Up front, an air-adjustable RockShox Reba RL suspension fork also boasts 130mm of suspension travel. A Motion Control damper also fine-tunes the fork with a twist of a knob on the fork crown. 15mm thru-axles front and rear add an extra dash of stiffness for taking that perfect line through a rock garden. Helpful touches like a Knock Block steerer stop to prevent a dented frame, a down tube guard, and Control Freak internal cable routing keep cables quiet over choppy trails.

SRAM's 12-speed NX Eagle shifter operates a SRAM NX Eagle rear derailleur for lightning-quick operation, even under hard pedaling loads. A SRAM NX Eagle 32T single-ring crankset and SRAM NX Eagle 11-50T cassette boast a massive gearing range for challenging climbs and precipitous descents. Helping keep speed under control is the job of a set of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. Alloy Bontrager Line Comp 30 wheels are tubeless-ready, feature Boost 110/148 hub spacing, and are wrapped with tubeless-ready 29x2.40" Bontrager XR4 Team Issue tires, offering confident grip and easy acceleration. A Bontrager Evoke 2 saddle sits atop a Bontrager dropper post, while an alloy Bontrager handlebar and Rhythm Comp Knock Block stem complete this trail-conquering machine.
