Your first road bike needs to be good in many ways. The VR60W helps make the ride better before you even climb aboard.

A rider should have confidence in their bike. Confidence in braking, handling, fit and ride quality. Felt used the same geometry in the VR60W found in the VR2, ensuring stable handling in high-speed turns and descents. A comfortable fit is also an important part of the bike's performance. Narrower handlebars, a short standover height and a more compact and upright overall posture allows a wide range of riders -and rider flexibilities- to get comfortable on the VR60W. How short a standover height? How about 26-1/2" for the 43cm frame size.

As for the frame and fork of the VR60W, Felt didn't start at the bottom. They used their own lightweight FLite custom-butted aluminum tubing, and assembled it with a very clean Dynaform welding process. The welds are nearly invisible, reducing overall weight and ensuring uniform strength across frame sizes. A ControlTaper tapered head tube/steerer tube interface improves handing precision compared to straight steerers. Internal cable routing helps keep the VR60W looking clean and sleek. A UHC Advanced carbon fiber fork is not only light, but also soaks up fatiguing vibration right down to the carbon fiber dropouts.

Shimano's 8-speed Claris dual-control levers boast an adjustable reach, accommodating smaller hands. The VR60W's Claris derailleurs operate with fingertip precision, making gear changes second nature. An FSA Tempo alloy crankset does power delivery duties with a 50/34T compact chainring combination. Out back, A wide-range 12-34T cassette makes steep inclines less intimidating. Yes, that's a 1-to-1 ratio for your easiest gear!

Tubeless-ready alloy Devox wheels are wrapped with Vittoria's lightly-treaded Zaffiro 700x28c tires, bringing grip and a smooth feel to roads both rough and smooth. Helping to reign in speed is the job of Tektro's cable-operated disc brakes, complete with 160mm rotors. Stopping power is considerably better in a wider range of conditions, rain or shine. A clever adjustable-angle alloy stem and an alloy Devox SuperLite road handlebar take up steering duties. An alloy Devox Lite seatpost and Devox Variable Road saddle complete this excellent road machine.
