Let's get one thing straight: The Broam 60 is not a cyclocross bike, nor it trying to be. The Broam 60 is a multi-surface utility/adventure bike that offers excellent performance at an excellent price.

The road less traveled might not really be a "road". It could be a gravel path, jeep double-track or campground trail. A bike that can handle all this, plus carry plenty of gear might be the right bike for everything. Felt's Broam series attempts to do just that, and do it at a very competitive price. The Broam 60 is built around Felt's own Superlite custom-butted aluminum frame and UHC Advanced carbon fiber fork, Giving the bike a lightweight and durable chassis for backcountry rides, commuting and even grocery-getting. Rack mounts front and rear, fender eyelets and bottle mounts galore allow the Broam 60 to add all manner of accessories. There's even a top tube bag mount usually found on much pricier bikes! A tapered head tube improves handling, especially when loaded down. Internal cable routing keeps the shifter cables cleaner in dirty conditions. 12mm thru-axles add an extra dash of torsional strength as well as simplicity when installing disc brake wheels. The overall fit of the Broam 60 is more upright, with a long wheelbase and stable geometry; perfect for rough trails and roads far from home.

Shimano's components are found throughout the drivetrain, making the Broam 60 feel precise under the rider's fingertips. Adjustable-reach Shimano Claris levers allow a wider range of hand sizes to shift and brake with confidence. Shimano Claris front and Shimano Sora rear derailleurs require less hand strength to operate, allowing the rider to focus on the road (or trail) ahead. The Broam 60's FSA Tempo Adventure 46/30T crankset and 12-34T cassette boasts a gearing range with extemely low ratios; steep hills with cargo are suddenly much less intimidating. Tubeless-ready alloy Devox 2.1 Disc wheels are 21mm wide for high-volume rubber. What rubber you ask? Maxxis' file-tread Refuse tires in a pillowy 700x40c size! Tektro cable-operated disc brakes bring boatloads of stopping power in all conditions, rain or shine. An SR Essenza Blackstar gel saddle, alloy Devox Lite Road seatpost, adjustable-angle Devox stem and alloy Devox adventure bend road handlebar complete this capable machine.
