Incredible lightness gets incredibly smooth. And its faster than ever.

When the ProCaliber arrived on the scene, the cross-country racing world took a step backwards and started sweating. How could Trek have possibly improved on the Superfly SL hardtail? They did, and its been thrashed and tested on the World Cup XC circuit by Olympian Emily Batty and other Trek professionals.

The G2 geometry is still there on this size (17.5"), giving the ProCaliber 9.9 RSL razor-sharp handling prowess in tight singletrack. OCLV Mountain carbon fiber makes up the frame, giving it almost shocking lightness for an off-road steed. The "SL" part of the name indicates a higher quality of carbon fiber that shaves up to 250 grams (!!) off of the standard ProCaliber OCLV frame. An IsoSpeed decoupler at the seat tube/top tube juncture smoothes out the rough stuff, reducing fatigue over multi-hour races and training rides. The tapered E2 head tube adds an extra dash of handling precision, while a press-fit PF92 bottom bracket anchors the crankset, ensuring flex-free power delivery. Control Freak internal cable routing gives the ProCaliber 9.9 RSL a tidy look, too. An air-adjustable Fox Factory 32 Float suspension fork delivers 100mm of travel; perfect for diving into dicey rock gardens and root-infested singletrack.

SRAM has brought 12-speed single-ring drivetrains to the forefront, simplifying (and lightening) XC racers from amateurs to World Cup pros. The ProCaliber 9.9 SL's XX1 Eagle shifter operates a SRAM XX1 Eagle Roller Bearing Clutch rear derailleur, bringing super-quick (and silent) operation with every shift. A SRAM XX1 Eagle crankset with a 34T X-Sync Direct-Mount chainring does power delivery duties, while a 10-50T SRAM XG-1295 cassette adds a massive gearing range.

Rolling stock consists of DT Swiss' tubeless-ready XMC1200 carbon fiber wheelset fitted with tubeless-ready 29x2.20" Bontrager XR1 Team Issue tires. The hubs are Boost110/148 sized for improved lateral rigidiy. All you need are gasketed valve stems, sealant and rim strips to be fully tubeless. SRAM Level Ultimate carbon hydraulic disc brakes bring pro-level stopping power and braking performance to the ProCaliber 9.9 RSL.

A carbon-railed Bontrager Montrose Pro saddle sits atop a Bontrager XXX OCLV carbon fiber seatpost, while an accessory-ready alloy Bontrager Pro Blendr stem and Bontrager XXX OCLV carbon fiber handlebar completes the cockpit of this outstanding XC machine.
