A well-proven race-winning aero bike, but in a unique color.

Color: Volt Green/Black

Size: Small

Trek's Speed Concept 9-Series can be purchased with unique color and component combinations through their Project One program. This bicycle is one example of how Trek can build you a one-of-a-kind Speed Concept. Please call for details.

All 9-Series Speed Concept bicycles start with a frame made from Trek's proprietary 600 Series OCLV carbon fiber. This raw material allows Trek to build a very lightweight frame and fork without sacrificing torsional strength and power transfer. Aerodynamic drag was focused on during the design of the Speed Concept, with attention to detail that bordered on the fanatical. An aerodynamic shape was employed for the the Speed Concept known as Kammtail Virtual Foil -or KVF- that kept drag numbers low but still resulted in a bike that was very resistant to crosswinds. With hidden brake calipers submerged in the fork crown and under the bottom bracket, the Speed Concept shows a very clean profile to the wind. Internal cable routing was also taken to the extreme. With an aperture for a DuoTrap speed/cadence sensor in the left chainstay (sold separately), low-profile seatmast clamp, integrated fork/stem and even mounts for optional accessory storage, the Speed Concept makes a strong arguement for being the best Tri/TT bike made today.

Shimano's 11-speed Ultegra components make up the drivetrain of this Speed Concept 9-Series. The Ultegra derailleurs, bar-end shifters, 50/34T compact Ultegra crankset and 11-25T Shimano cassette are all designed to work together for lightning-quick operation and long service life. Bontrager's Speed Limit brake levers install cleanly into the base bar grips, while an adjustable aero bar allows for a wide range of positions as needed by the athlete. Bontrager's alloy Race Lite wheels and 23mm R3 tires keep rotating mass low, while a Bontrager tri-specific Hilo saddle adds comfort for Inronman-distance events.
