Self-supported tours and adventures require a bike that can carry all manner of gear and equipment. But what happens when the road just ends? Enter: The Divide
Co-Motion's Divide was designed around a touring platform, but with 29'er wheels and an even more rugged construction. Built in Eugene, Oregon, the Divide is ready for gravel roads, jeep doubletrack and even light singletrack. Beefy Reynolds 725 butted cro-moly steel tubing is used throughout the DIvide's frame, ensuring stable handling with fully loaded panniers. Eyelets for racks, fenders and 3 bottle cages give the Divide all the mounts needed for cross-town or cross-country adventures. There's even a pump peg (remember those?) on most sizes. A hooded thru-axle rear dropout keeps the Divide feeling solid when the rider puts the power down while fully loaded. A Co-Motion taper-gauge fork with a thru-axle front hub boasts impressive strength for front racks and panniers. To allow for a wide-range crankset, the Divide's rear chainstays are built with a wishbone-style yoke. Ribbing on the shoulders enhances torsional strength while allowing for wider tires. The bottom bracket is a classic threaded style to allow the use of a wide range of crankset styles and manufacturers.
SRAM's 10-speed DoubleTap Apex shifters operate a set of SRAM X9 derailleurs for a reliable operation across a wide gearing range. An FSA Boost 42/28T crankset and 11-36T SRAM cassette offers a massive gearing range for challenging climbs while fully loaded down. DT540 Disc-specific hubs are laced to alloy Velocity Cliffhanger rims, providing long life in punishing conditions. For enhanced torsional strength, the rear hub features a Boost 148x12 thru-axle. 29x1.9" Off-road Evolution tires by Geax helps keep grip levels high on unpaved surfaces. TRP Spyre cable-operated disc brakes add enhanced stopping power, rain or shine.
